Monto Orthopedics is a full service orthopedic provider. These are just some of our areas of expertise:
KNEE ARTHROSCOPY.
PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP).
FRACTURE MANAGEMENT.
PRP is on the frontier of biologic treatment for cartilage, muscle ligament, and tendon injury. A bioactive component of a patient's own blood, PRP can be used to effectively treat severe chronic inflammatory injuries and conditions which previuosly required surgery, PRP can also be used to enhance the results of complex ligament, cartilage and tendon surgery.
By utilizing the most advanced fracture care techniques available, including new locking plate and ultrasound fracture healing technology, Dr. Monto approaches bone injuries in patients of all ages with the ultimate goal of anatomic restoration and functional recovery. We respect and preserve the soft tissue envelope so that the healing of the bone can proceed quickly and completely.
We offer the latest leading-edge arthroscopic and minimally invasive knee surgery. We specialize in the treatment of athletic ligament and cartilage injury. Dr. Monto has pioneered the fusion of orthobiologic and stem cell treatment with modern arthroscopic principles to speed recovery, prolong the lifespan of native knees, and forestall the need for joint replacement.
ROTATOR CUFF SURGERY.
JOINT REPLACEMENT SURGERY.
CARPAL TUNNEL SURGERY.
Once one of the most difficult areas of orthopeidc surgery, the treatment of rotator cuff tears has become one of the most rewarding and successful procedures. The use of arthroscopic assitance, the emergence of thermoablation, and new knotless anchor systems, has led to a revolution in the field with better and more durable results with much less post-op pain.
Dr. Monto offers personalized and closely managed joint arthoplasty of the shoulder, knee and hip, and utilizes the latest minimally invasive technology available to shorten hospital stays and hasten recovery. By minimizing the trauma of surgery, we are able to rapidly restore joitn motion and function in even the most severely degenerated joints.
Years of experience in hand surgery have led Dr. Monto to the adoption of an advanced, minimally invasive procedure to relieve the pain and numbness of carpal tunnel disease. This procedure involves an even smaller incision than endoscopic release surgery and limits the risk of nerve injury. Patients are able to use their hands in light activities immediately after surgery without pain.
